Joey Zapp and Isabellé Carson formed Duo Dahlia while studying at the University of North Texas together. With Zapp on tenor saxophone and Carson on soprano and alto, the two have performed together in the University of North Texas Wind Symphony for two years. During their time performing together, they found the need to form the duo based on their colorful blend of sound as a unit. The duo is focused on empowering diverse composers while encouraging the expansion of repertoire in the saxophone duet genre.
